The United States does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements "on the West Bank and outskirts of Jerusalem, US President Barack Obama said Thursday in a long awaited speech to the Muslim world from Cairo. "It is time for these settlements to stop."

Do I really need to say anything else?
OK, I do...
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has issued an unprecedented statement clarifying President Barack Obama’s demands for Israel to stop expanding Jewish communities in areas it acquired following the 1967 Six-Day War, including Jerusalem.
Ms. Clinton’s press spokesman was asked if President Obama’s demand to halt expansion of “West Bank Jewish communities” included a demand to stop expansion of Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem.
The answer was affirmative. The U.S. State Department demands that Israel limit Jewish growth in these areas of Jerusalem, “whose status remains to be determined” in negotiations.
That would of course specifically include the Old City of Jerusalem.

your wrong.
Obama is the best friend of the Jews in the White House since FDR.

That you really believe he is good for Israel (or the Jews) is very scary.
Joe, Why do the beliefs of one liberal Jew scare you so much? You may not be exposed to them very much, but there are numerous far more liberal Jews in the USA that have positions much further to the left than DoveBear does!

FROM CAROL HERMAN
In politics you learn EVERYTHING is done for a reason! And, all reasons lead to skills at vote counting!
Obama hates Hillary. And, Hillary also knew after mounting up debts to run for the 2008 presidential slot, she'd have to amass another fortune to protect her NY senate seat. Due for re-election in 2010.
You also know that Caroline Kennedy's light did not shine on Obama's parade, even though she came out for him FIRST! Loyalty can sometimes be a one-way street.
And, an unknown woman, who unseated a conservative republican, in upstate NY in 2006. And, who won, again, in 2008, is named Kristen Gillibrand. She now has Hillary's seat.
And, if you want to really make sure Hillary could not ever run a campaign around one of your failing flanks, how about sending her out to "kiss Suha" one more time?
You think Israel has to stop "settlements?" You think this is the burning issue for the arabs, who would otherwise embrace peace? I think not.
While Abbas will now sit on his hands. Since the Palestinians win more by doing nothing.
Oh, Obama wants Bibi OUT! If Livni can't make headway in six months time ... Obama is going to begin worrying about local stuff.
And, he's going to want to "take" some republicans out of the GOP tent, to vote for him. When, if you saw what I see coming from the RIGHT, all I see is that Rush Limbaugh never had so many people in his audience.
I'll even bet that ahead there may be some Obama "fatigue." He's not the hit you think he is. But when it comes to demagogues, he's already captured the Huey Long prize.
Of course, Obama is waiting to scare the Jews! Blacks think this is easy enough. They've done it within the democratic party. And, inside academia, too. Not exactly an army wit guns, though, who can shoot it out.
Bibi? He doesn't have to lift a finger. Obama is on center stage. And, yes. He can fall down doing his routine, all on his own. He's no Sammy Davis, Jr.
Mark: He doesn't scare me.
What scares me is that someone like him, who is obviously intelligent (if incapable of ever admitting to being on the losing side of an argument,) can be so completely blind to what is right in front of his eyes.

This is nothing! There are hundreds of thousands of smolanim in Israel that are just as intelligent. And just as blind.
