Israeli scientists have created a vaccination against the skin cancer "melanoma".

Melanoma is a relatively rare cancer, but it is the leading skin cancer that causes death.

The vaccine, developed by Prof. Tamar Peretz and Dr. Michal Lotem at the Oncology Institute of the Hadassa Medical Center in Jerusalem, helps prevent the recurrence of the cancer and increase the chances of survival for current victims.
