He is not demanding (or expecting) the State to protect him, instead he goes out every day in hot weather and cold, in sun and rain, and does his job.
He’s a farmer in the Negev.
He is also wearing a heavy and hot ceramic bullet-proof vest against the Arab snipers, now ever-present and ever-shooting since the Expulsion.
But he has the right to quit working his land (which maybe he should as it is a Shmittah year, unless it’s an Otzar Ha’Aretz/Beit Din deal) and lose his investments, property, and livelihood.
And if he “doesn’t like that deal, then he should go found his own Jewish state somewhere else” (or at least that is the opinion of one commenter who hopefully won't be coming back).

I am referring to the fact that the farmers now have to wear hot and heavy bullet proof vests all day long while they work their fields.
I was alluding to the fact that you refer to the "hitnatkut" as "the" expulsion, as if that were the only expulsion that had ever taken place, and you did not care about the other ones.
I mean, unless you were saying that the farmer has had to wear a "heavy and hot ceramic bullet-proof vest" while working since 1982, but presumably that's not what you meant.

When you don't have a response for a question, I guess the only good attitude is "I hope they won't ask any more of those questions"...
In the Settler street, the Expulsion from Gaza is called the "Expulsion". Is is not meant to exclude other expulsions (such as Yamit, from Spain, or anywhere else), but when the term is used, it is understood as referring to the Gaza Expulsion.
It bothers the Leftists that "Expulsion" is used instead of a sanitized word like "Disengagement".

There are plenty of other blogs for people that think THAT way. This blog is not one of them.
I highly recommend the Muqata if you are looking for back and forth, or if you simply want to spew out a left-wing viewpoint and be greeted happily then go to DovBear.

I know, I deal with the "settler street" all the time. And it just goes to show that you're not the only one who's short-sighted and self-centered.
