Barack and Rahm (Lightning and Thunder).

Let's hope we can stay out of the storm.

(Actually it should be Ra'am, so let's pretend it is so this pun will work)

(I am not the person who first noticed this or originated this comment, but it is so appropriate).

Not according to Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugged: Obama's House Jew: Rahm Emanuel

Buy a good protective coat.

On the other hand, Daled Amos says the fact that Emanuel is a Jew was not Obama's main reason for picking him, but rather because he is a pitbull:

Obama's selection of Rahm Emanuel?

Big time pit bull I hear.

I was going to post the same thing, but I had to wash the floor before Shabbat.

And for the linguistic purists, the power pair could be known as the Blessed High. I think Thunder and Lightening suit them better.

"Blessed High"? What's so "blessed" about it? (That's Barak with a kuf, not Baruch with a chaf-sofit.)

Well, dang! For some reason I was thinking the reference was to Ehud, not Obama.... (guess I was looking at the category "Political Jews who have/are likely to put the screws to Eretz-Yisrael-loyal Jews"). Scratch my remarks re spelling, in the preceding comment. (tiptoes away from the soapbox sheepishly)

The correct way to transliterate Barak (Obama) from Arabic is
ברכ

not ברך and definitely not ברק which is a different root. Barak (Obama) means ברוך in Hebrew, not lightning or the name of Deborah's military commander.
