After reading statements and articles about two of the primary candidates for US president, it is honestly not clear to me that either one is going to be particularly good for the Jews (of Israel).
Both have ill-advisedly surrounded themselves with advisors who (to state it gently) do not have a very pro-Israel position/history.
Past statements from Obama seems to have a Palestinian tilt, while McCain has shown himself to be completely ignorant on the most current and publicized flare-ups in the latest US-Israel crisis, which leads him to be overly susceptable to influence by his policy advisors.
(And wasn't 8 years of Clinton'sinterfering with Israel loving bear hugs enough for all of us?)
On the flip side, Rice certainly joined the dark side and is dragging Bush down that road with her.
TOugh choices ahead.

I agree with some of what you are saying.
Obama did have an advisor on his staff that was decidedly anti israel and pro arab, she has resigned in some flap over something she said re the Clinton Campaign.
In Obama's most recent speech on the whole reverand wright thing, can be found here http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/03/18/obama.transcript/index.html, Obama makes an interesting and in my mind telling statement.
"Instead, they expressed a profoundly distorted view of this country -- a view that sees white racism as endemic, and that elevates what is wrong with America above all that we know is right with America, a view that sees the conflicts in the Middle East as rooted primarily in the actions of stalwart allies like Israel, instead of emanating from the perverse and hateful ideologies of radical Islam."
Yes this is one statement but IMHO a telling one at this point.
Only Hashem is good for the Jews. I've come to the conclusion that if look towards man then we might as well dig our own graves. Yesh din V'yesh dayan for those who plot against us ... as the US tries to divide Yerushalem so will Hashem divide the US ... you can see it coming ... stay tuned! BTW, how is when Kahane Z"tl spoke the truth he gets gunned down but, Wright(who is really Wrong)gets Carte Blanche over the airwaves?
