Hizbollah has promised to take their attacks to Jewish targets worldwide. Was the attack in Seattle directly Hizbollah related?
The simple answer is ‘No’, as there is no a shortage of Islamic Fundamentalists living throughout America (and Canada) and not just in Detroit, that it gives even me pause before I would step out again on those Golden Shores (unarmed).
But was he a member of Hizbollah? Probably not, but that is irrelevant. Because as I am sure in the end we will learn that he belonged to one terrorist group or another.
When Rabbi Kahane was murdered, the authorities declared it the act of a lone gunman unassociated with any terror group. We’ve since learned how wrong that assessment was and how the Jihad in America (and perhaps even 9/11) could have been nipped in the bud at that point in time.
After El Al in LA was attacked, the US authorities declared it the act of an enraged ex-employee (or some other nonsense), unconnected to any terrorist group. Again, we’ve learned better since then.
And even if he had no other connection than his Mosque and fellow Imans, that it is sufficient enough terrorist connection in this cultural/religious war.
America wake up, the enemy isn’t at the gates, they’re already inside.

The 'ostrich syndrome is alive and well.However it is worst here in Israel.If there is a cease fire now we will have lost .If Sheba farms are given back t will be the end

I'm having a hard time with this "Civil War". (PM and DOM with no military experience).
Israel lost this war big time. Nothing can change. Nasarallah is laughing and still in complete power. And with his victory, he is the King Of Arab Might. In 6 days the IDF destroyed the Arab nations, and this SOB kicks our ass. (Even if that means we kicked his as well. Victory is not Parve.)
Once the US cant withstand the world preasure, we will have a cease fire. Nasrallah will not sit on the border, but he will get land ie Sheba farms to show the Arabs he won.
We give up land, lose our boys, and lose the war. And for topping, we wil release terrorists as well.
We know this will happen. Its no secret.

I am afraid Assaf has put his finger on the problem. Many of us always assumed, that at some point, everybody in Israel would have some sort of basic survival instinct kick in, and realize that we have to do what really needs to be done, 1967-style. Conversations with people, IN THE NATIONAL CAMP (i.e. right-wingers) makes me wonder. Perhaps we are witnessing an increasingly rapid loss of our sovereign Jewish state, and that we should prepare for a situation where Israel's independence is lost, and we revert to something like the old British Mandate, where there is a semi-autonomous Jewish community alongside an Arab one, with international overseers and troops keeping us down. Don't forget that Chirac said "the world is sick of our fight with the Arabs",
and Olmert says he is tired of fighting, and other citizens FROM THE RIGHT are saying the same thing. This is scary. We have always said the foreigners wouldn't want to send troops here to become a target, but if they do it in Lebanon, that is the precedent, and I fear many Israelis would welcome. With the total and complete collapse of the political right, the political will may not exist to prevent such a catastrophe. I hope you will all tell me such a scenario is "unthinkable"!

When the territory beneath your enemy is turned into a smoking hole in the ground, when their infrastructure and industry are totally decimated, not to mention the largest possible amount of their population [entire population, them being the enemy, as if that needs to be clarified] thereby eliminating their ability to ever make war on you again, that's total victory [as opposed to 'not losing'].

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of Germany after WWII. Complete surrender and then a rehabilitating occupation until they are ready to rejoin the human race.

Hey buddy, quit that feeling helpless foolishness. You can immediately do one of two things (or both):
1) Make aliya
2) Get yourself some guns and learn how to use them (and take a course or at least read up on 'situational awareness').
