Complacency

This coming Wednesday is Yom Yerushalayim.
NORPAC is running a mission to Washington where participants will be meeting with US congressmen to tell them how imperative it is for the US to continue to remain a strong ally with Israel and not just with empty words about "best friends" while simultaneously bullying and threatening Israel - and I am sure that Yom Yerushalyim was chosen for the specific message that wonderful day brings with it.
It's taken a while, but now even those that could hardly be misidentified as Conservatives or Republicans have gotten vocal (or brave enough to speak publicly) about Obama and his one-sided attack on Israel, whether we're talking about Ed Koch, Senator Charles Schumer, or even Elie Wiesel.
One can only hope that this recognition that something is deeply wrong in the White House won't be sidetracked, and that people won't continue to be fooled by some eloquent words meant to allay suspicions.
American Jews need to not be complacent at this time.
Good American Jews have no influence in this Administration, but they still have influence in Congress and the Senate. Take this opportunity, ahead of Yom Yerushalayim, to write your Congressman and Senators and tell them that 43 years ago Jerusalem was reunited and made an open city for all religions (not just Muslims). Don't let the Obama administration turn back the clock and cut up Jerusalem.
Leading Democrats and Liberals have finally acknowledged that Obama is trying to implement things that are bad for Israel, and bad for Jerusalem. Let them know that you appreciate their public support for Israel and Jerusalem, despite the Obama regime.
