The only real reason the current standoff cold peace with Egypt has lasted so long is because of the weapons and money that the US has annually supplied Egypt with since Camp David.

But Mubarak is sick and apparently dying now. The less practical Islamists are poised for a takeover of Egypt.

What happens when the dictators who love Jihad and are aligned with Iran replace the dictators who first love personal comforts, prestige and lining their own pockets?

Will the low level Egyptian assistance to anti-Israel terrorists reach new heights? Will the US supplied weapons stockpile be turned on Israel?

In light of changing events, these are questions that need to be asked (and should have been asked before a decision was made to heavily arm and support a dictatorship).
