Every now and then I get the urge to play farmer, and it's always with my Etrogim from Sukkot. I'm at it again, and I got the whole family involved.

Usually I get the samplings to live for around 2 years. It takes around 7 before they grow an Etrog.

So I gathered the clan and cut up our Etrog (Yellow with a Shoshana pitom- Lefkowitz variety I believe).

We made an "Al HaEtz" and "Shehechianu" and tasted it, and then cut out all the seeds.

The seeds will sit in the fridge for the next 10 days, and then go into a cool dark place for another 2 weeks, and then we will plant them and see what germinates.

I'll update you with a progress report.
